Custom Wall Mural for a 136 sq ft (17’3” x 8’0”), wall space of an open living and dining area in New York City. My clients requested a large scale mural to reflect who they are as a family unit and their playful and angular design aesthetic.
The long 17’3” wide wall spans from the windows on the left to the edge of their kitchen the right. Suited to the space and visually balanced, the mural bridges between the cool daylight from the windows on the left, to the warm incandescent lighting of the kitchen on the right.
Colors always change depending on the lighting, but this mural was created to adapt to its surroundings. It instead moves with the light and creates a seamless flow from one side of the large room to the other. The layering of color and tone and shape, with the additional elements of matte and gloss paint finishes, add a depth to the wall mural and create moments of movement and expression.
